How to delete your information in BrainBox, whenever you want and for good

How to delete in BrainBox: files with the trash and permanent deletion, conversations, API keys and access, and how to request erasure of your data.

Lesson 3 of 3 · 1:31

What it covers

You delete your information whenever you want. A file goes to the trash first, in case you made a mistake; emptying it deletes it for good, along with the content BrainBox had read from it. You can also delete conversations, revoke API keys and remove access. And you can request erasure of your data, as the privacy policy explains.

Frequently asked questions

›What happens when I empty the trash?

The file is deleted for good, along with the content BrainBox had read from it to answer. It can no longer be restored.

›Can I recover a file I deleted?

Yes, while it's in the trash: you restore it and it goes back to the Box. Once the trash is emptied, no.

›Can I ask for all my data to be deleted?

Yes. BrainBox's privacy policy explains how to request erasure of your personal data.

0:00I uploaded it by mistake

It happened to Laura: she uploaded a confidential draft to the wrong Box. How does she really delete it? In two steps.

0:09Two steps

Deleting takes two steps. First, to the trash: if you made a mistake, you restore it. Then, empty it: the file is deleted for good, along with everything BrainBox had read from it to answer.

Here's the draft. In its menu, Move to trash. You confirm, and it leaves the Box. In Files, the trash: if it was a mistake, you restore it. If not, you empty the trash, confirm, and it's deleted for good. Conversations can be deleted too: in the chat's menu, Delete. Done. An integration nobody uses anymore? Delete its key. To avoid accidents, you type the confirmation, and the key stops working immediately.

1:01Recap

To recap: the trash protects you from mistakes, emptying it deletes for good, with everything the AI had read, and you can also delete chats, revoke keys and remove access. If you want us to delete your data, the privacy policy explains how to ask. Laura's draft no longer exists. When you delete it, it's gone.
