- Can the AI invent a citation or a ruling?
- BrainBox answers are built from the documents you uploaded, and every citation points to a real file and page inside your Box. If a fact is not in your documents, the answer says so instead of filling it in. Verification is still part of the flow: every footnote opens with one click.
- How is confidentiality handled between matters?
- Each matter lives in its own Box with per-person roles (owner, admin, editor, viewer). Files you keep in your Private folder are invisible to everyone else, even when Boxes are connected. Permissions are checked on the server on every question.
- Does it work with scanned case files?
- Yes. Scanned PDFs go through OCR automatically on upload and are indexed by page like any other PDF.
- Can I choose which AI model my team uses?
- Yes. Over 30 models are available (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others), and the workspace admin decides which ones each member can use and with what monthly budget.
- How do I export an analysis to attach to a memo?
- From the chat you can export the conversation to PDF, Markdown or HTML with the citations included, or ask the assistant to write the analysis as a file inside the Box.
